ABOUT VITAL VERNON

CANDIDATES
& COMMUNITY ISSUES

Where do the candidates stand on a range of important community issues?

In preparation for the Vernon civic election on October 15th, 2022 the Community Foundation North Okanagan wants to support civic engagement by encouraging people to VOTE, and to learn more about our community and our leaders. Community Foundations across the country are proud to encourage community engagement in an unbiased, non-partisan way.

As a part of our Vital Signs program and report, we have examined the important issues affecting North Okanagan citizens and the region. Five critical issues areas have been identified; cultural, economic, environmental, social, and health and the questions posed to each candidate reflect these topics.

This initiative is powered by a group of volunteers that developed the candidate questionnaire in consultation with local champions in the economic, social, cultural, environmental and health sectors. We are pleased to share these responses with the community.
